Movable aluminium gantry crane – tight space

INITIAL SITUATION: No space – and yet heavy loads must be moved? When standard sizes won’t get you far, just call SCHILLING. Our team loves such challenges and does everything to find a solution. In this case the workspace was in a narrow corridor, in which also a container occupied space. Just two challenges at once.

SOLUTION: The solution was to equip the crane with a shortened aluminium beam and provide the necessary stability and steadiness with a lateral extension beam. In this way, it was precisely fitted to the width of the gangway and beside and above the container. For other applications the aluminium beam can simply be replaced by a longer version and with just a few steps the customized version can be converted back to a standard aluminium gantry crane.
