INITIAL SITUATION: We are always happy to receive pictures from our products in use provided by our customers. In fact, we are regularly astonished about the types of tasks that can be handled with them. From the Arctic, the tropics, from construction sites or historical excavation sites…the list is long and exciting. Those who want to plant palm trees by the pool in their southern vacation home are welcome to browse our photo gallery. Or just build a parking garage? There are also hurdles like, for example, bridging large distances.

SOLUTION: The challenge for our palm tree aluminium gantry crane was to move the rather impressive palm tree to the planting site. A part of our aluminium gantry cranes is designed as a “movable under load” version. The load is secured by the park brake trolley. By pulling on the green belt, it can be released, and the palm can be moved forwards on the aluminium beam and precisely positioned and planted. The challenges were quite different when building the parking garage, as a wide span had to be bridged between two concrete beams. The load was moved on the double aluminium beams and then lowered the long way down by the help of an electric chain hoist.
