In this application, a boat weighing more than 2 tons had to be lifted safely, positioned precisely and loaded securely. The main challenge was to ensure even load distribution and reliably prevent tilting movements during the lifting process. At the same time, several lifting points had to be safely integrated to guarantee controlled and gentle handling of the boat.
An aluminium cross beam H-type from the SCHILLING Kran- und Hebetechnik GmbH standard product range was used in combination with a crane. The cross beam impressed with its flexible design, high stability and precise load handling.
Aluminium cross beam H-type for safe load distribution
The SCHILLING aluminium cross beam H-type used in this application has a load capacity of up to 3,000 kg and was specifically selected for the safe handling of sensitive loads. The main beam with a length of 4 metres and the removable cross beams with a length of 3 metres each enabled optimal adaptation to the boat’s lifting points.
Thanks to the adjustable suspension points, the load could be distributed evenly. The rotating load hooks additionally supported safe and precise positioning throughout the entire lifting operation.
The lightweight aluminium construction not only simplifies the handling of the cross beam itself, but also ensures high stability and flexible application possibilities in daily use.
