Set up gantry crane - it's not better this way

Today we want to show a construction of a gantry crane as it is better not to do it this way.

Safe assembly with the right portal crane

In this application example, a mobile aluminium gantry crane was used, on which wheels are normally located on the chassis struts. These were simply dismantled and then an attempt was made to create a height compensation by means of an adventurous substructure of pallets - safety looks different.

Also the locking of the electric chain hoist as well as the trolley with a chain at the side frame is rather not in accordance with the normal application. Our portal cranes are equipped with a braking system as standard, which prevents unintentional movement of the trolley.

Especially the flexibility of our aluminium gantry cranes offers safe and individual solutions. In this case a stationary gantry crane with height-adjustable feet would have been the better choice.
